Talk to Tiger!

Welcome to the Gab page, where you can write to Tiger and perhaps hear back from him. You need to provide your email address for this. Make sure it's okay with your parent, guardian, or otherwise bossy grownup in your life.

From time to time, Tiger will pose a question or two for you to ponder and, hopefully, respond to. This is what Tiger calls "research." For example:

If the bossy grownup in your life wouldn't let you have your dream pet, what would be the worst replacement pet imaginable that he or she would likely buy to stop your whining?

Hi Carrie,

Thanks for writing! So glad you, and your brother, enjoyed Faith & the Electric Dogs. Did you know that I wrote a sequel to it? It’s called Faith & the Rocket Cat and was published in 1998. So check around, see if you can find a copy. The library’s a good place to find one.

Keep reading and writing and doing other fun stuff.

From Patrick Jennings McAleney:

Hello there Mr. Jennings,
I was delighted to find your book The Wolving Time in a thrift store in Florence, Oregon. My Mother, Edith Jennings McAleney, lives in Florence, so on a recent visit I fancied a trek to the thrift stores to uncover treasures. And Behold! I found one. So it seemed appropriate to contact you to say hello. My grandfather was a surgeon in Spokane, WA. His family was from Wisconsin. Anyway, hope to hear back from you. Warm Regards,
Patrick

From Sarah:

Dear Patrick;

I just finished your book, The Wolving Time. I went to Border’s to order two more copies to send to my sister and a friend. I want to keep MY copy.

I wondered if you ever read Montaillou, Promised Land of Error, written by somebody somebody Ladurrie. This book is about a pastoral shepherd village which I thought you could have been using for “Montcorbeau.”

The “witch hunts” which took place there predated Laszlo’s story by 300 years, and in lieu of witches, the priests’ vicims were “heretics,” or Cathars.

Your story was very moving and interesting…Thanks.

Sincerely,
Sarah
